Go!Foton Announces the Availability of Fluorescence Micro-Optics for Instrument Makers

Go!Foton expands its industry-leading offering in fiber-optic fluorescence detection technology with the availability of micro-optical heads to makers of analytical instruments.

February 9, 2012 /Trades PR News/ -- Somerset, New Jersey - Leveraging upon the success of the five fixed wavelength FLE 1100 Fluorescence Detectors, ranging from UV through the visible spectrum, Go!Foton announces the availability of the fluorescence micro-optical heads for instrument makers and other equipment including small handheld devices. The detector technology has up to 0.5 nM* sensitivity for the excitation wavelengths. Both the excitation and the fluorescence wavelengths can be tailored to specific customer requirements.

Since the technology is completely fiber-optic, it allows for a very compact design that can be built into other analyzers. The fluorescence micro-optics works in high ambient light, is suitable for highly portable devices, and is vibration resistant. It can be integrated into other instruments such as automatic DNA analyzers, PCR machines, flow cytometers, or customized for instruments including environmental monitors for air or water that test for trace amounts of contaminants or pathogens.
